You'll see well presented, well arranged, tidy and neat equipment, that's smart and stylish. That also really helps us complement our smart venues. Our sound and light equipment tends to be symmetrically organised for that subtle smartness.
9. Compact Equipment
By default, you'll see a set up which is compact, minimising the space we take up at your party. In our really compact set up , we can neatly fit into a corner, measuring out only 1.8m from that corner. Equally we also have a bigger centre stage set up for greater effect if that suits your event better, and really anything in between. In short whatever will suit your event best, and compact by default.
All of our electrical equipment is formally tested and certified to be safe for use in public. It is a requirement in Law (Electricity at Work Act 1990 and Heath and Safety at Work Act 1974) that all "electrical appliances are maintained (so far as is reasonably practicable) to prevent danger". This includes all hand-held, portable and plug-in equipment, and hence applies to mobile disco equipment. This is usually through PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing). All our electrical equipment is PAT tested annually to ensure it's safety.
11. Energy Efficient Equipment
We continually looks to find ways to make our operations more energy efficient. We use the latest LED lighting which uses about 10% of the energy of traditional disco light for the same level of brightness. Our amplifiers are amongst the most efficient, converting proportionally more energy to sound rather than heat. This all means that your energy costs are lower and your carbon footprint is minimised too.
12. Project Management
We bring our formal project management qualifications and experience to help ensure a clear and realistic plan, well managed preparation, and effective implementation to deliver a really successful event.
13. Active Market Research
Our emphasis on quality means that we're always on the look out for ways of making your event even better. We monitor the technical developments across the sector, including new sound and lighting opportunities.
14. Continuous Learning and Development
We're big fans of life long learning and always seeking ways to refine, improve and innovate. We go on the best courses, including with the best global educators. We want to be the best we can be so that your event is the best it can be. Recent courses have included the industry leading two day Master of Ceremonies focussed on being a genuine, engaging and effective party host and Specialist Wedding DJ exploring ways to make weddings even more special.
We've attended BPM the largest DJ exhibition in the country held annually at the National Exhibition Centre in London engaging with lots of seminars and networking plus the usual new equipment, and live performances. We're also one of the founding attendees at ProMobile Conference, the annual professional development residential event, attracting the country's top mobile DJs. There were about 80 of us there in March 2014, which was as attended by Mark Goodyear, the longstanding Radio 1 DJ, who described us as being "leaders in your field".
15. Professional Membership and Networking
We work with and support other DJ's, putting real time and effort into supporting the community and the profession. This includes membership of the professional body and actively, engaging in professional networking events. Drawing on our knowledge and expertise, we also write and publish articles on interesting disco matters.
